25 YEAR SPECIAL CELEBRATION
This year we are celebrating the commencement of the Joey Scout section 25 years ago. What a great decision it was, and since then the Joey Scout section has flourished and formed the 5 sections of this wonderful movement. A badge (see below) has been designed to celebrate this occasion and is available for purchase from the Scout Shop at Queensland Scout Centre for the cost of $2.20 each.
Approval for the wearing of this badge on the uniforms of Joey Scouts and Joey Scout Leaders for the period of 01 July 2015 to 30 June 2016 has been received from Kirsty Brown, Chief Commissioner of Queensland.
I would like to see our Joey Scouts and Leaders support the 25 year celebration in purchasing and wearing the badge for this period. Show the Scouting Movement, your families, and the public how proud you are to be a member of the Joey Scout section and hold your head high when you are out in the community.
JOEY SCOUT ADVENTURE BADGE – opps errors do happen
I am pleased to hear we have a lot of Mobs working hard and completing many of the Challenge badges available. In case you are a new Joey Scout Leader the five Challenge badges are Care and Share, Mob Buddy, Environmental, Adventure Challenge and Promise Challenge. All except the Promise Challenge badge are available through your badge secretary.

Recent stocks received at the Scout Supply Centre have errors in them that at first glance you may not see. Have a close look at the Joey Scout Adventure Challenge badge below and see if you can see the errors.
Yes you are right, it shows ‘Joey Scots Advnture Challenge’ and yes, it should read ‘Joey Scouts Adventure Challenge’. If you have one of these badges and would like an exchange, then take it to the Scout Supply Centre and Lesley and her team will gladly provide you with a new one.
