Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing – Get in the Game Funding Programs
The next round of the Queensland Government’s ‘Get in the Game’ grant funding initiative is now open – Applications close 5pm on Friday 11 August 2017
Get Going Clubs – Funding up to $7,500 for equipment and projects
Get Going Clubs provides funding to support not-for-profit local sport and recreation organisations to create and provide access to participation opportunities for Queenslanders. Eligible organisations can apply for funding of up to $7500 (excl GST) for ONE project made up of any combination of the following components:
- Education and training
- Participation projects
Get Playing Places and Spaces – Funding of up to $150,000 to improve facilities
Get Playing provides funding to assist local sport and recreation organisations with facility development so more Queenslanders are encouraged to become involved in the sport or recreation activity of their choice. Projects eligible for funding must be a new, upgraded or replacement infrastructure development that supports participation in sport and recreation activities. Organisations can apply for up to $150,000 (excl. GST) but awards are dependent on the applicant contributing a minimum of 20% of the total project cost.
The usual F14 Part A Building Approval will need to be completed through the Facilities Support Officers who can be contacted on 07 3721 5726 email firstname.lastname@example.org.
NEW GRANT REGISTRATION PORTAL – The Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing have introduced a new grant registration portal and as a result of consultation between Scouts Queensland and the Department, a new registration process has been agreed.
Please note: ‘The Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch Inc’ has been set up as the Primary Contact and individual Formations will be set up as Secondary Contacts. Formations that wish to apply for a grant from the Get in the Game Grant Program must first contact the Grants and Project Officer who will arrange for the Formation to be set up on the application portal: tel: 3721 5734 or email: email@example.com
