Did you know that 1 in 5 people in the world still live in energy poverty, which means when the sun goes down, their world turns into darkness.

The SolarBuddy team will be at the 2019 Jamboree and are aiming to educate everyone there about energy poverty, the devastating issues it brings and to build 3000 solar lights that will go to children currently living in energy poverty across the pacific. In doing so, they will be making a world record attempt for the most solar lights to be assembled (and donated) in one go.

This will change the lives of thousands of children currently living in darkness, but they will need your help!

This is why they have started a fundraiser online! Every single dollar they raise through this campaign will go towards the solar lights that will be assembled at the event and the more they raise, the more they can educate, empower and improve the lives of children living in energy poverty!
