Scouts Queensland is continuing on the underwater adventure in conjunction with Brisbane Dive Academy. So now is a great time to make plans to shake off the winter blues. If you are interested in becoming a Scuba diver then there is an Open Water Diving certification course on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of October. The cost is $550.00 and you will need to register with Brisbane Dive Academy by emailing them on enquiries@brisbanediveacademy.com.au. Make sure you mention you are with Scouts Queensland. Please register as soon as possible as you must complete e-learning before the course and undergo a medical before being able to undertake the practical component of the course.
By doing the course with Brisbane Dive Academy it is possible to obtain a unit of competency that can count towards a Cert II, III or IV in Outdoor Recreation through Scouting for anyone interested in obtaining Outdoor Recreation qualifications.
