Camira Scout Group Supporting the Local Community

When Camira Scout Group Leaders heard the news about the fire that destroyed Goodna Street Life Op Shop (which supports the homeless and people in crisis in the area) they knew they had to do something to help and decided to hold a Fundraising Car Wash and sausage sizzle at the Den in Camira to raise funds for the homeless.

All the Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, parents and Leaders got together and worked hard cleaning all the cars that came through on the night.  They were all very eager to help out and give back to our community and thank everyone who came along to support us.

As a resultCamira Scout Group made a donation of $1000 to Goodna Street Life and Helens Haven which will go towards providing food for the homeless and contribute to this year’s kids Christmas party.

Goodna Street Life is an independent charity providing housing and support for the homeless and vulnerable people in our community.
