The Dick & Pip Smith Leadership through Adventure Fund (LTAF) is to support young people in the development of leadership skills and responsible decision-making.

Its objectives are to enable the highest level of leadership development and responsible risk-taking skills at the local Unit/Group level, and attract the highest possible number of participants at the local Unit/Group level in all Branches, including regional, rural, and remote communities.

Just over $65,000 has already been allocated to Scouts around Australia from the Dick and Pip Smith Leadership Through Adventure Fund for 10 adventures in the first round.

The next round of LTAF applications from youth members closes on Monday 30 January 2023.

Applications from youth members that include clear evidence of the following will be viewed more favourably by the LTAF Sub-Committee:

• youth leading, adults supporting
• Plan > Do > Review >
• Unit Council approval
