LEAP North

Scouts from across North Queensland enjoyed an action-packed LEAP North at Tamaroo Campsite, Bluewater, with more than 150 youth members and 40 adult volunteers taking part. The program featured ice skating, archery, snow activities, campcraft, damper making and a visit to a Longhorn cattle property, alongside the popular Wild West Wednesday. Youth members also tested their teamwork and creativity through market day trading, outdoor challenges and evening activities.

Throughout the camp, volunteers worked tirelessly to deliver a memorable experience, helping young people build confidence, resilience and lifelong friendships through adventure.

Kawana Cub Scouts backwards night – thgin sdrawkcab stuocS buC anawaK

Kawana Cub Scouts had such a fun end of term break up!

“We ran a backwards night. We arrived with uniforms on backwards and started with closing parade. Games of the night featured push-of-war, reverse musical chairs, backwards relays, don’t catch and we even tried calling each other by our names written backwards. For the night I was known as Irawok. It was such a fun and memorable way to finish the term. ”
