Cuboree’23
An important message from the Cuboree ’23 Chief Director
My name is Craig Turton | Chief Director of Cuboree 2023, and I want to inform you that if your cub scout is aged between 9yrs – 10yrs old as at 17-22 September this year, then your child is eligible by age to attend Cuboree ’23 “Choose Your Adventure” in the first week of the September school holidays in Maryborough.
During the five nights and six days of Cuboree your Cub Scout will enjoy four fun filled days of activities including a scenic flight with the QLD Branch Air Activities team over Hervey Bay and K’gari (Fraser Island), followed each night by a wide range of exciting performances and interactive activities.
Cuboree is not only about the fun and adventure, but also offers a safe environment for Cub Scouts to have new experiences and personal growth opportunities. In patrols, Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of activities on offer each day in order to have their own individual experience at Cuboree. Five nights away from home may seem a lot for nine and ten year olds, however, this is another area of personal growth which is handled extremely well by our leaders and subcamp teams during the event.
Cuboree takes the health and wellbeing of our Cub Scouts seriously, and our dedicated on-site team of professionals are there to help in all situations. The Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Centre has been chosen for its availability of on-site amenities, and thus only requiring minimal additional facilities to meet our needs. A dedicated cleaning contractor will be on-site to make sure all facilities are cleaned, maintained and kept to the highest standards throughout the event.
Listed below is some additional important information about Cuboree 2023:
