As you know Scouts Australia is currently reviewing its Youth Program which means examining the reasons we have Scouting in Australia and the appropriateness of some of our activities. As we know this will take quite a time, there are some important issues that are being addressed incrementally. One of these is Plan>Do>Review> and I have written about that earlier.
Another is to respond to the issue of Bullying and so following the work done earlier through Scouts in Action Month about Bullying, from the start of 2017 new aspects of the Award Scheme will be added that consider the issue of bullying and how young people can respond to these issues. Each meeting group of every scout group will also be expected to write their own Code of Behaviour that will provide a guide for appropriate scout behaviour.
