There has been a major upgrade to Scouts Australia’s e-Learning platform and content that took place on 1st Feb 2017.

A more contemporary Web skin for e-Learning, to improve the clarity of information about module progress and completion.

The ability to track progress, review, see the underlying PDF’s and or download for review.

New and updated modules including:

  • 7 new modules to support the Basic Outdoor Skills Course (previously Bushwalking) and Adventurous Activities Training
    • Both Basic Outdoor Skills Course and Adventurous Activities Training:
      • AA GUIDE – Plan and Guide Outdoor Activities
      • AA IMPACT – Minimal Environmental Impact Practices
      • AA WEATHER – Interpreting Weather
      • AA GROUP – Group Facilitation
      • AA EMERG A – Responding to Emergencies
  • Adventurous Activities Training only:
      • AA EMERG B – Coordinating Emergency Response
      • AA SAFETY – Safe Practices in Scouting

We are still in the process of updating SMS to record the new module completion, but the eLearning platform will record completion details that will updated Branch systems at a later stage.

Fact sheets and FAQs will be issued on how this impacts training next week.
