Matilda heard that a leader was was about to be awarded a wood badge at a very special ceremony, and headed up to Nambour to witness this at the Nambour District DTM.  Before the ceremony, Matilda watched the leaders playing a game which involved washing up plates covered with sauce using the prescribed camp washing up method with 3 basins of water.  This was followed up by the District Commissioner providing updates on Adventurous Activities and comments on the next stage of the New Youth Program.  Then, the important ceremony began with the District Commissioner striking an Axe into a Log, followed by the presentation of the Wood Badge, and a Certificate with a special Wood Badge Centenary label.  Lots of photos were taken, the log book signed, and commemorative cards given out.
