Que had met some Roma scout leaders attending courses, but had never been out to Roma. So when the Region Development Support Officer (RDSO) offered to show her around the regional areas, she took up the offer. At Roma, Que met a few more leaders, got them to sign her logbook and gave out souvenir cards. From what Que could gather, Roma is part of Maranoa District, Central Western Region. It is an agricultural area with sheep, cattle, wheat, fruit, grape and dairy products as the main industries. The town of Roma was named after Diamantina Roma Bowen, the wife of Queensland’s first Governor.
