New Zealand Jamboree!

Over the Summer School Holidays, over 650 scouts, venturers and leaders went across the ditch to attend the 23/24 New Zealand Jamboree. With three planes filled just with scouts, everyone landed in Auckland very excited about what was to come! The Jamboree itself  was filled with thrilling activities, awesome cultural events and the crowd favourite – badge swapping! Throughout the 7 days there was so much fun had with activities such as quad biking, car smashing, canoeing, abseiling and tramping.

For those who attended the post tour we had lots more fun exploring Rotorua and all the adventurous activities that were up for grabs. A highlight of the post tour was the Maori cultural dinner that we attended. This experience allowed for us to have an insight into Maori culture and some of their songs and dances, and of course the Haka!
