Scout O 2024
Have you got youth preparing for a bushwalking Adventurous Journey? Looking to build navigation skills and progress through their OAS? Preparing for a big event like Operation Nighthawk or Knightmoves that involves navigation? Or just looking for an opportunity to get out and have fun with some fine grained bush navigation?
Help them on their way through registering for a place at Scout-O 2024 – O is for Orienteering. Scout-O is a multi-group activity run in collaboration with Orienteering Queensland.
Youth will learn map to ground – ground to map navigation skills, route planning skills and gain confidence to be able to tackle bush navigation challenges independently. Scouts, Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts will be in pairs or threes on the course, leading themselves. Cub Scouts will need to be accompanied by a Leader or Adult Helper in pairs, threes or fours.
Sunday 28 April, 9:00am at Lake Gaffney Day Use Area, Murrenbong Campsite & Activity Centre. This is the 3rd year that Scout-O has run, and the second year at Murrenbong. Registration essential. Leaders should contact Brian McIntosh (Haggis) on: 276876@scoutsqld.com.au for activity details and to register.
