The Queensland Contingent is growing in size each day and 950 (Scouts and eligible Venturer Scouts) have applied as participants along with another 350 staff (Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, Leaders and other members) for AJ2025.

With members of overseas contingents joining us that will make 28 Jamboree Scout Units spread across the Maryborough site.

Each Jamboree Scout Unit is made up of 36 youth members (Scouts & eligible Venturer Scouts) and four Leaders.

Many have asked at our face-to-face presentations and our two webinars, how the Jamboree Units are formed? So here is the lowdown.

Later this year the Contingent Team will meet with lists, lots and lots of them. Each list will have the names of all members of each Group that are attending AJ2025. The Team will then start creating groups of 36 youth, with some from city Groups and some from country Groups, so we are creating a great way to meet new friends.

There is lots of juggling of numbers, but we will be keeping youth from the same Group together and where possible, at least one Leader from the Group, so the youth members will have someone familiar around the campsite and they are with Leaders that know the youth from their Group.
