This is the transcript of the Chief Commissioner’s video conversation with young Queenslanders attending the camp.

Hi everyone it’s Geoff and this week the Chief’s newsletter is a little different.

We are doing a video and we are coming to you from the Governor General’s Camp in Canberra and you can see the Governor General’s residence behind us. Looking very splendid in this beautiful Canberra weather.

Today I am joined by members of the Queensland Contingent. There are 56 Queenslanders down here, 39 youth members and 17 fantastic Leaders that are providing them with support.

So today, I am joined by Harrison, and Harrison is a Joey Scout from Mareeba – Excellent!

I’m also joined by Sylvie a Cub Scout from Mareeba – Excellent

and, I’m James from Albany Creek and I am a Scout.

and, Amy and I am a Venturer (Scout) from Wahminda Park.

These young people are going to share with you some of the exciting things they have been doing for the week they have been down here in Canberra.

So Harrison, what’s the most exciting thing you’ve been doing this week?

Probably going to Canberra, going to Questacon,  Going to Questacon? Did you have a fantastic time? Yes – Wonderful!
