What we’ve been up to!

Jamboree On Pedals

36 Cub Scouts, Leaders and Adult Helpers joined in Ekibin District’s first Jamboree on Pedals event in March with a 12km ride along the Bulimba Creek Bikeway.

Clifton Hill, Kurilpa and Tarragindi Cub Scout units ran bike skills nights covering OAS Cycling Stages 1 and 2 in the lead up to this Simple Cycling event on an enclosed traffic-free route, enjoying fine weather on the morning before rain arrived later.

3 Venturers Scouts and 1 Scout from Tarragindi also got in on the Jamboree on Pedals action, with a 4-day Queens’ Scout Award Adventurous Journey, carrying all their equipment and food in panniers and trailers, along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail over the Easter weekend.

Bribie Island Scouts Adventurous Journey

On 5 April Jarvis led a patrol of Bribie Scouts on his adventurous journey at Bunya Mountains.

Highlights from the Governor-General’s Camp, 14-19 April, at The Government House, Canberra.

Test ‘n’ Track – Baden-Powell Park

Test and Track being held by Qld Rover Scouts at BP Park at Samford. There were a number of vehicles involved over the weekend.

It was great to see the teamwork across Units supporting one another in preparing their Banana Bash cars for that event later in 2024. Lots of testing going on and the wet weather made it most likely even more exciting and challenging.
Well done Rover Scouts on a great event.
