It is a busy time of year as Groups across the State celebrate the achievements of their youth in the form of Peak Award Presentations. This term I have visited the Joey Scouts at Brisbane First Chinese, Victor, Caboolture and Kawana. These Scouts, their Leaders and families have worked together to enable interesting and exciting meetings, explored areas of interest and learnt about camping, bushwalking and other basic skills for enjoying the outdoors. Then they brought those skills together and went on an adventure. Along the way they have learnt lots of things, grown a little and had a lot of fun.
To the more than 150 Joey Scouts around Queensland that have received their Joey Scout Challenge Award this year – Congratulations!
To all those who are working towards this goal – keep up the great work and I am looking forward to hearing reports of your progress next year.
We also continue to welcome new Joey Scouts – even in the fourth term. Our adventures are not restricted to seasons and fixed start times!
Welcome to all our new Joey Scout Families – great things are ahead for you all!
