Bunya Park Scouts – Ride the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail
Bunya Park Scouts completed a bike ride on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Bravo Eamon and Austin
Kawana and Landsborough Scouts and Venturer Scouts Hikes
Kawana Scouts and Venturer Scouts took advantage of the long weekend to hike a section of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
A Scout patrol, with Kawana and Landsborough Scouts, hiked west along the trail providing the opportunity for 2 Scouts to complete their adventurous journey.
A Venturer Scout patrol hiked east along the same section. Their hike was a practice journey for an upcoming hike along the Great Ocean Walk in Victoria, as well as a practice hike for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
They had a chance to meet up on the middle days as they crossed paths!
Burleigh Heads Joey Scout Adventurous Journey
Congratulations to Joey Scouts from Burleigh Heads Scout Group who completed a 7km bike ride on gravel and mud tracks in Coombabah Wetlands as part of an Adventurous Journey.
Over three hours the Joey Scouts conducted briefings and bike checks and they spotted kangaroos and koalas during their journey.
Gnomeopoly – The Wrapp
The Wide Game Team are pleased to announce yet another successful game was delivered on the night of Friday 6 June 2025. The laughter, the intense energy from beginning to end and the smiling faces that walked away on the end of the night said it all.
The event was held at the Wilston Scout Den and adjacent Lanham Pak. It was attended by 92 Scouts, 16 Venturer Scouts, 5 Rover Scouts and 27 Leaders.
This year’s theme was loosley based on the popular board game, Monopoly……. except everything was about Garden Gnomes.
