Jota Joti Virtual Jamboree
A final reminder. This weekend JOTA-JOTI is happening in 171 countries across our world. Jamboree on the Air-Jamboree on the Internet is the world’s largest digital and radio Scout event which promotes friendship and global citizenship from 15 to 17 October 2021.
This event connects millions of young people around the world for a full weekend of online activities. It enables young people and volunteers to participate in fun and engaging group activities over the Internet and amateur radio focused on developing 21st century skills through Scouting. A strong focus this year is the Sustainable Development Goals theme.
The dynamic programme comprised a variety of non-formal education activities, including webinars, global campfires, talent shows, live shows, fun challenges and more through an interactive 3D campsite. It supports young people of all ages to learn about communications technology, the values of global citizenship, and their role in creating a better world. The program is diverse and you are invited to explore the map and join a series of dialogues, games, live shows, challenges and talent shows while connecting with other Scouts around the world.
Due to COVID, there are new procedures where Groups as well as individuals can register. Those young people registering as individuals will need parent support. There is no cost for this event. Further details are available here. Due to our location within the world time zones, most of the global contacts will occur after lunch time on Saturday and through to early Monday morning, Queensland time. Hope to see you at this Jamboree this weekend.
