The Branch Executive Committee is pleased to announce that following an extensive recruitment process Trevor O’Hara has been appointed as the new General Manager for Scouts Queensland.
Trevor will bring his strong Scouting knowledge to the role, along with his extensive experience externally and in the not-for-profit industry.
As Chairman of the Crime Stoppers Australia Board for 3 years and Chief Executive Officer for Crime Stoppers Queensland for 13 years, Trevor brings a strong understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
Trevor is known to many people across Queensland Branch as he is currently the Assistant Chief Commissioner (Sustainability and Operations) and has been the Director for SafeTrans for AJ2013 and AJ2025.
Trevor has over 30 years’ experience as a Leader in Scouting having been a Cub Scout Leader, Group Leader, Activity Leader, District Commissioner, Branch Adviser, Branch Honorary Treasurer, and member of BEC, Producer Brisbane Gang Show and Assistant Chief Commissioner (Sustainability and Operations).
Trevor will formally commence in his role from Tuesday 22 April 2025.
Accordingly, Trevor will transition from Assistant Chief Commissioner (Sustainability and Operations) effective 21 April 2025 to another volunteer role, this includes concluding service as Caretaker at Baden-Powell Park.
