For the Yeppoon Scouts this is the first time the Joey Scouts has hosted a Regional Joey Jaunt, Joey’s and Leaders came from Gladstone, Calliope, Mt Archer and Gracemere while celebrating the 25 years of Joey Scouts for the weekend. The theme was based on clowns and the day was packed with fun activities. the Joey’s enjoyed an obstacle course, clown face ball games, spoon & water balloon races, walking frames, doughnut eating on a rope, dump tank, tug of war and a clown relay, also designed own scarf to wear with joey face woggle.
A special badge was presented to each Joey Scout on closing parade to mark both occasions Joey Jaunt and 25 years of Joey Scouts.
The Joey’s were surprised by Stretch our eight foot still man with funky balloons, we had camp fire with sing along songs and roasted marshmallows .
On Sunday Joey’s had a great time exploring the caves and celebrating our Joey’s 25th Birthday with a beautiful cake made by our Scout Leader Amber Kersey.
