Don’t forget Christmas Carols Saturday 5th December – put that date in your diary now!

The great news is we are holding a Christmas Carols in 2015 and will be again be working with Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra (BRYO) -so lock the date in your diary now – Saturday 5th December.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the Choir or the Support team – we would be really keen to hear from Members of the Association who are interested in participating in this activity. Rehearsals (4) will be in November with the Carols on December 5th. It was a great success last year so make sure you get in early

Scout Section Program

Next program runs – October 19th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd

Joey Mobs/ Cub Scout Packs– these programs are available now to be run in your section by members of the Performing Arts Team – if you would like a program run simply drop me an email at bc.arts@qldhq.scouts.com.au and I shall arrange for someone to contact you and organise one of these exciting programs. That’s right we come to you at your group and run the program for you.

So book early now at the above email address

The program can be run from 7.00pm nightly and runs for 2 hours. We would require a minimum of 10 Scouts and a maximum of 20 Scouts. To book simply email me at bc.arts@qldhq.scouts.com.au and I shall send you a booking form – it is a great night of fun and education for Scouts – nights are limited so early bookings are essential.

At this stage there is no cost for these programs.

Other news

We have a “How to run a campfire” outline available. Campfire’s are a really important part of the Scouting program and here is an opportunity to get back to basics and learn how to run a really great Campfire- if you are interested drop me a line bc.arts@qldhq.scouts.com.au and we can arrange a suitable time to run you and others interested through the program – you even get to attend a campfire at the end!

Finally this month a hearty congratulations to all involved in the 2015 Brisbane Gang Show “Everyday Heroes”. The show was very successful and had over 50 new cast members for their first time on stage.

Also congratulations to Trevor O’Hara in his first year as Production Director and to the whole team – Bravo!
