Tuesday September 1st 2015 is a truly momentous occasion as all the Branches of Scouts Australia, work together to reach out and consult with the entire membership of Scouts Australia on the same day. IF you haven’t previously, now is the time to let Scouting know your feelings and the feelings of your youth members about the Review.

Over the last two years, many people working in teams have toiled tirelessly for hundreds hours researching and preparing the reports which are available on the website. Now we need all members- adults, youth as well as parents, to give us your opinion of the findings.

Currently the Section Review is live and closes on October 1st. Check it out and you may win a prize. Sea to Summit have kindly donated Camelbak prizes, and therefore we encourage any Facebook posts to tag the company. Prize winners announced by the end of October.

The Age Sections Rationale is also on line and closes Friday October 8th. All feedback should be directed through the YPR website (http://ypr.scouts.com.au/news/2015-08-05-report-age-sections-in-scouts-australia), where a form (http://ypr.scouts.com.au/age-sections-feedback.php) is available for members to fill in.

On September 1st you would have also received information about the Promise and Law consultations and Duty to God. Region meetings will be convened to promote these. It is important that all members have their say. I urge you to promote these consultation through the various channels, and have your members involved in determining the shape of Scouting in Australia into the future.

Best wishes,

Peter Blatch OAM
Deputy Chief Commissioner
